Commercial Vehicle Technician - Berkeley

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Vehicle Technician with a good all round knowledge to set and achieve the high standards of quality and workmanship expected, to join our team based at our workshops based in Berkeley.

Collett Transport Services carry out maintenance and repairs of commercial vehicles to the general haulage and municipal sectors and have a large fleet of recycling and refuse collection vehicles which are hired out nationally.  We are the Isuzu Truck and Pickup dealer for Gloucestershire, Bristol and Bath.

You must be a highly self-motivated team player, a customer focussed person with a positive and friendly attitude, organised, competent and methodical in your approach to ensure efficiency in all areas.  Having the option of working from a mobile service van you may join our Call out team covering 24 hour Roadside assistance and Recovery.

We are looking for a Commercial Vehicle Technician to assist in maintaining a large fleet of units and trailers at our workshop on WM Morrison Supermarket, Droitwich site for the remainder of a contract (estimated to end February 2012) then to join our team working at our workshops in Berkeley.

HGV Driver / Yard Assistant

We are looking for Drivers with HGV Class 1 or 2 licence to join our team based at our workshops in Berkeley, we have Full Time, Part Time and Casual vacancies. This is a driving job with a difference.

Collett Transport Services carry out maintenance and repairs of commercial vehicles to the general haulage and municipal sectors and have a large fleet of recycling and refuse collection vehicles which are hired out nationally.  We are the Isuzu Truck and Pickup dealer for the Gloucestershire, Bristol and Bath areas.

Your work will involve delivering and collecting our Refuse & Recycling Hire Vehicles travelling to customer premises nationwide.  Return journeys will involve either a hire car, train, plane or returning another hire vehicle.  On the occasional time when a driving mission is not available, you will be expected to assist in the yard within your means, this may involve duties such as steam cleaning and valeting vehicles.

You must be customer focussed, a team player with a positive and friendly attitude.  Being highly self motivated you must have the necessary skills to carry out On and Off Hire paperwork accurately, recording damage and vehicle condition to a high level, taking photographs and communicating effectively.

HGV Class 2 is essential.  HGV Class 1 Licence will be an advantage to support the workshops although not necessary.

Hours will involve mainly early starts as vehicles going on hire need to arrive on customer premises often at 6am, a suitable degree of flexibility will be required.

Full-time working Monday to Friday on a flexible 40 hour week + Overtime paid at 1.5 of normal pay.  Holiday entitlement will be allocated on a pro-rata basis.
