The
Collett Transport story . . .
I started in business
as self-employed in 1994 operating an eight wheeled tipper vehicle carrying aggregates from the local quarry, also operating
a unit and semi-bulk trailer which carried grain and animal feeds. I was trained as a commercial vehicle engineer and
had gained vast experience since 1986, so carried out my own maintenance and repairs. In working alongside
many other small operators and businesses, I observed how it was becoming increasingly difficult for them to find good vehicle
repairers and specialised welders. Due to demands placed on me for my skills, I realised the potential
for going back into my trained profession.
In 1997
I began a mobile repair service, working from a fully equipped van, immediately gaining several customers in the local area.
I built up a customer base, carrying out repairs and maintenance on site and offering a 24-hour breakdown service.
I met Bridget in 2001 who then joined me in business in 2002, together we have
steadily expanded the company, developing it into what you see today.

hard work, our goal is to offer an all round top quality service and in January 2007 we were awarded two UKAS Accredited
Quality Marks, reflecting our committed approach within every aspect of our business. Achieving both these accreditations is something every member
of Collett Transport Services is very proud of whilst always aiming to exceed expectations.
Every Christmas time
we like to celebrate another year of success, brought about by the hard work of every member of our team and the support given
to them by their spouses, we've had a few summer BBQ's too, here are just a few photos to remind us of what fun
we've had . . .
